The name is a question. We ask it about you.
Every day, banks say no to good people. People with jobs, budgets that add up, and a real need for a car. When their applications land with us, we ask one question about every single one: why not them? Why not now? Most of the time, there's no good answer. So we say yes.
Why we exist
Banks look backwards. We look at today.
A credit score is a story about your past. A rough patch three years ago, a divorce, a business that didn't work out, a bill that got away from you. The banks read that story and decide who you are.
We don't. We look at your budget today: what's coming in, what's going out, and whether a weekly payment genuinely fits. That's the number that actually predicts whether this will work, and it's the only one we care about.
A car isn't a luxury
In most of Australia, no car means no job options, no school run, no getting Mum to her appointment, no life outside a bus timetable. A car is work, school runs and freedom.
Being declined once shouldn't mean walking forever. That's the whole idea. That's the business.
Our promises
What we promise, in writing
Rent to own has a rough history in Australia, and some companies earned it. Here's how we run things differently, and you can hold us to every line.
- ✓ Total cost before you sign. You see the full dollar figure for the whole agreement, every time, before any signature.
- ✓ Every fee published. All of them, on the website, in plain English. No "establishment fee" surprises at pickup.
- ✓ Ownership transfer in writing. Finish your payments and the car is yours. It's in the agreement, not "at our discretion".
- ✓ A real person replies. Email admin@whynotownit.com.au and a person answers. Not a bot, not a queue that goes nowhere.
- ✓ Hardship support that actually supports. If life goes sideways, we work out a plan with you. No remote disabling, no instant repossession.

This category has burned people before. Cars that never transferred, fees that appeared from nowhere, companies that vanished when things got hard. We know that's the reputation we're walking into, and we intend to be checkable.
We're a new business, and here's exactly where we're at: our licensing details, AFCA membership number and ABN are being finalised right now. As each one is issued, it will be published on this page and in the footer of every page on this site, so you can verify us with the regulators directly, not just take our word for it.
Until then, everything else we claim is already checkable: our pricing is on the site, our fees are published in full, and the ownership transfer clause is on page one of every agreement. If anything here ever doesn't match what you're told, email admin@whynotownit.com.au and ask for the founder.
